Ferro Silicon Barium (FeSiBa) is an alloy composed primarily of iron (Fe), silicon (Si), and barium (Ba). It is commonly utilized as an additive in steel production to enhance the mechanical and physical properties of the final product. FeSiBa is added to steel in small quantities, usually ranging from 0.1% to 0.4%, in order to increase its strength, toughness, and resistance to wear and tear. Additionally, it positively impacts the casting process by improving the fluidity of the molten metal and reducing the occurrence of defects in the finished product. FeSiBa is produced by smelting a mixture of ferrosilicon, barium carbonate, and iron scrap or pig iron in a furnace.
